CYEF paid a strategic visit to the EFCC

Conscientious Youth paid a strategic visit to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Kwara State Command, where meaningful discussions were held on strengthening efforts to combat vote buying and electoral misconduct before and during elections.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on practical measures that can be implemented to discourage financial inducements at polling units, promote transparency, and ensure that the electoral process remains credible.
The conversation also focused on how to effectively engage young people ahead of the forthcoming elections through targeted orientation campaigns, advocacy programs, and sensitization drives that encourage youths to vote based on competence rather than monetary influence.
The EFCC officials commended the initiative of Conscientious Youth and highlighted the agency’s commitment to partnering with civic groups to deepen democratic values in Kwara State.

They emphasized that empowering young voters with the right information is a critical step toward reducing electoral crimes and strengthening the nation’s democratic institutions.
As part of the visit, Conscientious Youth presented an Award of Recognition to the EFCC Kwara State Command, acknowledging their continuous efforts in fighting corruption and promoting accountability.
The gesture symbolized the organization’s appreciation for the agency’s role in ensuring a fair and transparent electoral environment.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to sustained collaboration, community outreach, and youth-focused programs that will inspire a new generation of responsible, informed, and corruption-resistant voters.
