Drug Law Enforcement Agency

Conscientious Youth successfully hosted the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kwara State Command, in a special sensitization program aimed at educating young people on the dangers of drug abuse and its far-reaching consequences.
The engagement brought together youths from different communities, creating a platform where they could interact directly with the NDLEA leadership, ask questions, and gain firsthand knowledge on how substance abuse affects mental health, academic performance, relationships, and long-term productivity.
During the session, the Commander emphasized the increasing rate of drug misuse among young people and highlighted the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat the spread of illicit substances across the state.
He also encouraged participants to take responsibility for their decisions, avoid peer pressure, and serve as ambassadors of positive change within their communities.
The sensitization program by Conscientious Youth is part of its continuous initiative to empower young Nigerians with relevant information and life-building skills.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with government agencies, schools, and community leaders to reduce drug-related activities and promote a safer, healthier environment for all youths in Kwara State.
The event ended with a strong call to action, urging every participant to spread the message, support struggling peers, and champion a drug-free society
