Conscientious Youth Radio Debate

Conscientious organized a special radio debate featuring two brilliant young girls from St. Anthony School and Roemichs International School, Ilorin, in honour of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The event, held as part of activities marking the global celebration on February 11, aimed to inspire young female students to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The debate provided a platform for the participants to share their ideas, express their confidence, and demonstrate their understanding of scientific concepts.
It also highlighted the importance of giving girls equal access to educational and leadership opportunities in the STEM field. Listeners commended the students for their intelligence, clarity, and courage while speaking on air.

As part of the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to both students and their respective schools. This gesture was meant to recognize their effort, encourage continued academic excellence, and motivate more girls to take interest in scientific studies.
The organizers emphasized that supporting young girls in science not only strengthens their personal development but also contributes to building a more innovative and inclusive society. They revealed plans to expand the initiative to reach more schools across Kwara State in coming years.
